Joined EAA in February. So that I could get into Sun-n-fun to check out some kits. Just got back last weekend from picking up my "new" Pelican PL kit in Indiana. I live on Feagin Mill close to Airpark. I suppose I'm looking for support in my new adventure. The excitement has turned somewhat into intimidation or at least a sense of being slightly overwhelmed.

Hi, used to fly my dad's ultralight. Just moved to the area, living with a short walk of WR airpark, and want to get back into it. Looking for an affordable entry-level Ultralight and a place to put it. I'm going to miss the picnic, maybe catch you guys next month. 334-663-1117

Stephen Moore: n/a   Tuesday, May 10, 2005  6:28:41 AM

I come from a family of historic aviators, but came along too late to learn to fly from them. I'm interested in building a very inexpensive ultralight (hey -- I work for the gov't -- you do what you can afford) and would also like to know more about the OX-5 (my grandfather was the display host 3/87 at Lakeland).

I'm also new in town (C-5 pilot) and I am currently restoring a 1953 Piper TriPacer. Actually, I'm repairing more than restoring it. Anyway, I'm interested in becoming a member. Thanks.

I am in the Air Force here at Robins. I am a KC-135 Pilot and have been kicking the idea around about building an airplane after I retire. Unfortunatly I don't retire for 8 more years but I would be interested in seeing some airplanes in the different stages of being built and talking to those who have done it. I am especially interested in the RV series of Aircraft and I noticed one member is currently building a RV 7!

First time I've looked into the web sites for chapters. All are mighty good, some better than others, but all provice a service. Would like to invite any of your members to fly into the Dawson Airport on the 3rd Saturday (today was that day) when we have a Pancake Breakfast. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, orange juice, coffee, and sometimes grits!. The cost is $5 for all you care to eat. Come join us and we'll see if some of our folks can get up your way.

Great site and every time I have a look it gets better.

Don Hanson: Chapter 38   Saturday, August 17, 2002  4:06:34 PM

This is a good looking site and it has great potential. There are some things missing though. I miss a lot of the Chapter 38 material that no longer seems to be available. It looks more like an EAA home site than it does a Chapter 38 homesite. We're all interestet in EAA news but we would rather see local news. Also when I looked for information on the missing man formation I didn't find it. That's probably because of my own inability to navigate through a website. Keep up the good work. The website is a positive step forward.

Nice layout David! Will be looking forward to pictures added. Let me know if I can help.

Howard Goldey Sr : Chapters 38 & 353  Friday, June 14, 2002  1:39:12 PM

Chapter 38 has gone ahead with the construction of a circular pancake grill. This unit will give the chapter much latitude in presenting pancake breakfast fly-ins, in the near future. The grill is 90 % completed and will be available for a Chapter pancake breakfast meeting that is in the makings. Our grill incorporates the best features of several units that were used as proto-types. Several local companies like Lee Adams Machine Shop , Mike Carter Mechanical Inc, and others have made the unit a very professional item. Howard Goldey will take all of the blame if it does not measure up to everyones'expectation. The finishing touches are now being accomplished.A plague will be mounted on the grill reflecting the names of Chapter 38 individuals and their families who donated over $700 to this worthwhile project. Keep the blue side up. HFG
